Installing FFMPEG from the source in window platform is easy as you do for other window application. Here is the complete instructios how to build FFMPEG in windows. To install FFMPEG on windows you need to install third party MinGW and MSys library that is compatible with GCC. This library is required to build ffmpeg in windows and support shell to run commands.

Building FFMPEG
It is time to install ffmpeg. Extract downloaded ffmpeg archive in c: folder. If you have not downloaded yet please download now then run MSys.bat file from C:\msys\1.0\ folder. This location will be depend on you MinGW and MSys installation. In the command prompt run the following commands:
$ cd c:/ffmpeg-0.4.7
$ ./configure –extra-cflags=”-mno-cygwin -mms-bitfields” –extra-ldflags=”-Wl,–add-stdcall-alias” –enable-mingw32 –enable-shared –disable-a52 –disable-pp –disable-ffserver –disable-ffplay
$ make

Clip-Share is mature script to run your own video sharing website like YouTube. This script is available variety of features and options at low cost. Unfortunately, they don’t have good knowledge base to short out technical problems related to script installation. The common problem with Clipshare and other video sharing script is in video upload and conversion module. Here is the error i received while i tried to upload video. The script produce error in initialization of progress bar.
Error:Â “returned status code 500 Internal Server Error”

Possible Solution:
- Check cgi-bin directory and files permission. In the script, upload progress monitored by perl script so that cgi-bin directory and files inside directory should have 755 permission. Make the changes if applicable.
- Check temp and video path setting in “cgi-bin/configs/uu_default_config.pm” file. It should point to correct folder. Both these folder should be writable by webserver.

upload_dir              => ‘/home/domain/public_html/video/’,
- Check flvideo folder permission in your installation directory. It should be writable by webserver.

Google just launched AIM chat with Gmail and several new features incorporated. Now you can talk to your AIM friends using an integrated chat inside Gmail. Your AIM contact list will be automatically populated in Gmail user contact list. You need to have AIM account to sign in using Gmail. Google is using OpenAIM technology to provide this service with Gmail. Currently, only supported with Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.
To sign in to AIM, use “Sign into AIM” link in Option menu. Check the picture below.
   
Here is the list of new features added in Gmail.
- Introduced colored labels to organize your email in more fashionable way.
- Group chat within same window. No need to open multiple window for more then one contact.
- New emoticons added to send expression to your friends.
- Free IMAP service to synchronize your inbox automatically.
- Now view your document within Gmail without downloading them to your computer. support MSOffice,OpenOffice and .pdf files
- Extended support to 20 MB file attachment size.

Fedora 8 has now released on November 8, 2007 with plenty of new features. See complete list of new features added.
- Added enhanced GNOME 2.20 with improved file management system, enhanced control panel applet, new revised help system, evince document viewer and mail notifcation in Evolution mail client.
- Online Desktop with GNOME sidbar useful to access online web services.
- KDE 3.5.8 is available in the KDE Live image as well as the regular DVD.
- Added NetworkManager 0.7 provides improved wireless network management support. It includes support for multiple devices and provides the capability of system-wide configuration.
- Added new PulseAudio that is install and active by default. PulseAudio is an advanced sound server compatible with nearly all existing Linux sound systems. PulseAudio allows for hot-switching audio outputs, individual volume controls for each audio stream.
- Icluded CodecBuddy to promotes free, superior quality, open formats to end users trying to play multimedia content under patent encumbered or proprietary formats.
- The completely free and open source Java environment called IcedTea is installed by default. IcedTea is derived from OpenJDK, includes a browser plugin based on GCJ, and is available for both x86 and x86_64 architectures.
- New OpenOffice.org 2.3 with several cool new features.
- Better Bluetooth devices and system tools integration.
- Included better suspend/resume and multimedia keyboard support using “quirks” for laptop users.
- There is now improved power management thanks to both a tickless kernel in x86 and x86_64 architectures, and a reduction in unnecessary processor wakeups via powertop.
- New excellent Infinity look and feel from the Fedora Art team with new fresh NADOKA gnome theme.
- Enhanced proactive security features which prevents from many security exploits.
- New improved graphical firewall configuration tool can be accessed from command-line by command “system-config-firewall”, replaced old “system-config-securitylevel” command.
- Offers Kiosk functionality via SELinux with new enhancements and major security policy changes.
- Support for passwords using SHA256 and SHA512 hashing. Before only DES and MD5 algorithm were available.
- Secure remote management capability is now provided for Xen, KVM, and QEMU in Fedora 8 virtualization.
- Added Eclipse 3.3 (Europa), a new release of the acclaimed development platform.
- Improved performance of yum, Pirut, and Pup significantly.
- Introdced new pirut graphical interface for managing software repositories. Use Edit Repositories to enable/disable any of the installed software repositories.
- Integration of unique build IDs into Fedora’s software building infrastructure now provides enhanced debugging capabilities and core dumps.
- Fedora now offers easier rebranding of Fedora derivatives via a generic-logos software package. Changes in Fedora’s mirror structure also make creation of derivatives easier.
- The pam_console module usage has been removed in favor of access control via HAL, which modernizes the desktop.

It is common problem for web developers who use firebug to debug JavaScript errors. Firebug may slow down Gmail by validating each XMLHttpRequests call. This problem is same for all ajax based application have make extensive XMLHttpRequest. Firebug is highly configurable. You can turn-off firebug for specific application or you can just enable when you need to debug an application. You can disable firebug for GMail and similar application or optimize it so that it will slow down application.
