Microsoft IIS is the Web Server used to develop and deploy web application based on Microsoft Technologies like ASP.net and Classic ASP. If you are developer working on Microsoft Technologies you might need to install Microsoft IIS at some point. Please note all Windows 7 version not included Microsoft Soft IIS. Please click here to make sure Microsoft IIS is a part of your Windows  7 distribution.

Follow steps below for installation. You may need Windows 7 DVD between installation so keep it handy.

Click on Start -> Control Panel

Click on View by drop down link in the top-right corner and select Small Icons. The items list now changed to uncategorized list.

Click on Programs and Features

Now click on Turn Windows features on or off to get windows feature dialog box

Select required component from Windows  Features dialog box. Click on + to expand and view sub-features list.

Now windows installing Microsoft Windows for you. You will get “Please wait while Windows makes changes to features. This may take several minutes.” Just wait while windows completing installation.

Now type http://localhost/ in your favorite browser. You shoud see default IIS7 page.

Microsoft has released security update for all versions of Internet Explorer. According to Microsoft this release cover seven privately reported vulnerabilities and one publicly disclosed vulnerability in Internet Explorer. These critical vulnerabilities can be dangerous. It allow execution of remove code using a web page specially designed for executing remove code on your machine. If you are using full admin rights then malicious code be more dangerous.

This security update cover all eight reported vulnerabilities and updates is released for all versions of Internet Explorer. This update is automatically installed on your machine if windows automatic update service is on otherwise you can download security update file for your OS and IE version.

Wordpress announced new Wordpress.TV where you can find all wordpress resources in audio visual form. You can find all WordCamp video, slideshows of presentation created by wordpress team and other wordpress experts, and interviews with media and fellow bloggers.

Wordpress.TV included several handy how-to tutorial video and more be in pipeline in future. You can request to add an audio visual resource if you find should be added on wordpress.tv.? Internet Explorer below 7.0 does not support 24-bit alpha channel transparent PNG images. PNG image background turn into gray color rather then transparent. IE version 7 and above completely solved this issue and fully support PNG images.? Other modern browser such as Firefox, Opera, Flock support png images from start.

How to Fix:

• Use transparent gif file instead of PNG file.
• Avoid direct use of images for transparent PNG file. Use Microsoft AlphaImageLoader filter, as described below:

• Save the document and upload to server. This fix apply to all PNG images automatically in Internet Explorer. Other browser simply ignore this.
